Not much, most of it was tossed high and the winds blew in a westernly direction.

Iceland had no disruption because of the volcano, it only affected flights from mainly europe. Your average islander did not know it caused so many problems for people elsewhere. It has had no negative effect on the island or its landscape.

  2. its still ok i know of someone who has just been there on holiday and they say it was very nice there.

Most of Iceland was pretty much uneffected by the volcanic eruption. Only a small part of Iceland was heavily affected and that was the area nearest to the volcano. A lot of volcanic ash covered the landscape in that area, but the ash was like a fertilizer to the land and during the summer the landscape there became really green. A foreigner visiting that area wouldn’t notice the difference at all.

In the rest of Iceland you never saw any difference in the first place. The landscape throughout the country is still very beautiful and enjoyable. If you want to visit Iceland then there is no need to let the volcano stop you. It is not a problem anymore.
