Ever been to Finnish Lapland for Christmas?
Question by lootai: Ever been to Finnish Lapland for Christmas?
Is it better to go on a tour group or is it fine enough to go on your own? I will be going to Roveaniemi, Pyha Luosto.
If I go on my own, where can I book the excursions?

Yes I’ve been, but I’m finnish
For a foreigner, I’d said it’s a bit easier to go with a tour group, but it’s not uncommon or more expensive to go on your own. Most people understand and speak at least some english, so you don’t have worry about that.
Here’s a couple of links for those places:

Try emailing them.
Never been in Lapland, but I should think it’s easier to go with the group. People do speak English in Finland, especially in tourist spots but it’s not always very fluent. And be prepared for drunk people even on Xmas time.
