A route to link Russia, Sweden and Finland?

Question by magickaito: A route to link Russia, Sweden and Finland?
I will at Helsinki, Finland this December and I wd like to pay a visit to Russia and Sweden as well. I wd also have to visit Lapland to try to see Northern lights…what’s the best routes to link up these places?

Helsinki appears to be the center point. But it seems weird if I go to these places in this sequence:

Helsinki -> Lapland->Helsinki->Stoclkholm->Helsinki->Russia->Helsinki (I have to leave europe from Helsinki).

Any ideas on a better route?

From Helsinki you can go, by boat to Tallin (Estonia), or to Sankt Petersburg (Russia), to spend 1-2 days and to return to Helsinki, the same way. Don’t forget that in December could be very, very cold, so….

That route sounds right just don’t forget that you need a travel visa to enter Russia. Just go to the Russian embassy to get one
