Ok so been engaged three years now and know I am far to fussy and want it to be perfect . We don’t have lots of money could prob reach about 6-7k if we saved real hard .
I ve always wanted to marry on holiday by sea . Trouble is some of vip people like best man and bridesmaids can’t go if we just go to Greece.
I ve looked at Greece and as lovely as it’s looks I just keep wanting far away shores that are more private and will give us beach on door step and Palm trees and wooden huts like Mauritius or Seychelles or southern africa.
We’ve been on few long haul holidays over last few years and I want to do it again soon. We always said maye safari if we get married here .
So I ve been thinking should we just go somewhere like that on our own and marry ? We could have party at home .
I know my mum be disappointed but we just can’t decide in Greece and his parents not really interested in going altho they say we’ll have to .
I really don’t want an inside ceremony in Britain and I am scared it will rain . Also I would offend alot of people as can’t afford kids there and have to cut list down alot .
What should I do I just wana decide ?
and just feel that getting married is about both of you coming together and should be in a place that means alot to you both . We both love holidays . His parents are not into weddings they very well boring but lovely.
I am not religious and you cannot get married outside in uk sucky law and weather . I just want to be by sea when say those special words but wonder if I’ll regret it . But surely if it’s about you two it won’t matter if family there.
I want my wedding pics to have amazing back drops to as a wedding here on my budget of 2k be pretty crap of I am going on the honeymoon.
And I want a honeymoon we both do can’t go year without holiday lol

I think that people would feel obligated if they had to go that far to your wedding. They probably would, but it would be a little too much, and you would put them on the spot. The two of you can always go on a honeymoon. Or you can get married and come home and have a big party.

I like the idea of going somewher with family to get married then have a party when you get home with friends. Make it special for you and don’t try to keep up with the jones and spend $30k
whatever you do DON’T get married in vegas!!!! u can have your honeymoon there if you want, but getting married in vegas is just soooo tacky!!
This is your day! You have to think about what is going to make you happy. And having all yours and his family there is really important. Think about somewhere private like you said. Maybe a beautiful rose garden wedding. Or somewhere where everyone can gather and be together. Keep looking. You will find somethng eventually!
It really isn’t where you get married, it why you are getting married. Have a nice wedding at home and take a fantastic honeymoon and have all the things there. It is important to have family and friends there to help celebrate your union, but you do what ever makes you happy, because no matter what you do something always goes wrong.
