Q&A: Is the Balloon Safari worth 20 bucks a person?

Question by Wad of dumb: Is the Balloon Safari worth 20 bucks a person?
San Diego Wild Animal Park… Is the Balloon Safari worth it? I have two kids under 12. We will be doing the walking tour and the Journey into Africa Tour, so, should I shell out 80 Bucks to go on this Balloon tour or what!
remember – it’s not a real hot air balloon ride, it’s the parks yellow balloon thing – 30 people can fit on it, it goes up to 400 feet.

Hot Air Balloon? YES. I live in Napa county a hot air balloon ride can be hundreds of dollars. I would do it! It will be awesome plus you will see some great views of animals

I went on it ans it was Absolutely beautiful. We saw wine vineyards, the elephants, and lions. It was a great picture opportunity. My mom was visiting me from Dallas and she is afraid of heights and she didn’t have a problem with it at all. I say if your kids would njoy something like that then its definitely worth it. I thought it was and i’m 22.

I have never been on it, because it always looked like a waste of money to me. The first time I visited the WAP, the balloon was something like $10 and I thought that was a rip. It doesn’t get you closer to the animals, which is the point of visiting the park. I didn’t realize that it went up 400 feet…seemed lower to me. And the surrounding view is not that *great*.

There is the Wgasa Bush railway tour. That used to be included in the price of admission, but I think they’re charging for it now. That’s what you should do.

    Save your cash.
