Is Vietnam a cheaper holiday than South Africa?
Question by Mozzie: Is Vietnam a cheaper holiday than South Africa?
I’ve seen tickets from the nearest airport to both these places for the same price so I’m weighing up the rest of my spending money for 2-3 weeks there.
I assume Vietnamese currency converts to much more and allows for a cheaper cost of living than South Africa?

I would imagine that Vietnam would be less expensive that South Africa, especially during the next 6-8 weeks when the World Cup will be taking place. Still South Africa is a lovely country to visit, with world class facilities, restaurants and hotels

They are both great countries to visit and i wish i was there for the World Cup . But Vietnam is by far the cheapest in all aspects in regards to a 2-3 week vacation .
My sister lives in Vietnam and I live in South Africa. She is amazed at how much cheaper things are in Vietnam. South Africa is awesome to visit, but if you are on a tight budget, Vietnam would be cheaper!
