is my understanding of the conflict in Sudan, Darfur, and Uganda right?

Question by Youracheap Indianhindu: is my understanding of the conflict in Sudan, Darfur, and Uganda right?
So the mainly muslim north led by Omar al-Bashir kept infringing on the rights of the mainly African/Ethnic and the south was like “uh uh, this ain’t no free ride for u”, and they with the SPLA whose leader was John Garang started fighting with each other.

On the western front you had Ahmed Haroun and other Northern Arab leaders who basically did the same thing to the Darfur region and the darfur people got fed up and tried to fight back…

In uganda is where I have questions…
So is this Joseph Kony fellow the leader of the LRA that fought against the Northern Sudanese government, or was he involved in fighting the Jajaweed in Western Darfur, close to Libya?

please hlep me understand this, again its not for school.
if you can please also point me to a good website (credible one too)
thx for your time and happy holidays
