i know there are many student trips to Europe but their itinerary is so tight its hard to completely enjoy everything you would wish to see. So are there any other traveling programs that takes trips to either Africa or Thailand

There is no competition in Africa, you will get what you pay for if not getting excess.

The only place in Africa where you can enjoy your holiday is East Africa. This is composed of Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania.I will give you the links and itineraries in each country
