Can anyone recommend a great place in South Africa to visit/stay?

Question by marina999uk: Can anyone recommend a great place in South Africa to visit/stay?
We work very hard all year and want something to look forward to. We will be taking a holiday in either Nov/Dec or January next year (yes I know it’s a long way away, but we want somthing to look forward to!)

We are well travelled but have never visited SA, and are looking for a combination of a fair amount of luxury, maybe a spa resort, some beach and definitely a safari! Any suggestions?

  1. Hi,
You should definately visit Cape Town. I have a few self-catering flats or I can help you find something more luxurious that will include your meals. Cape Town offers you beaches, wine routes, the best scenery. The Garden Route is another must. For saffari you can visit the Kruger National Park.

Durban is great, holiday inn hotel is always a good choice for a place to stay

  3. If it is your first visit – I would say the Kruger National Park! It is bigger than the whole of China and you are most definitely going to stay in luxury and have a safari! At night in your room you can hear lions roar! An Amazing experience! http://www.krugerpark.co.za/ check this site out. Remember Dec/Jan is mid summer and temperatures can reach a scorching 45 degrees celsius! Remember sunblock please!

If you have to be close to the beach – I would recommend Sun City. Deep in the rugged bush-veld, in the heart of an ancient volcano, lies the world’s most unique resort, the internationally acclaimed Sun City.
BEAUTIFUL – once in a lifetime!

Don’t let people scare you with the stories about crime – just keep your eyes open and be alert at all times. South Africa is BEAUTIFUL! It is so much more than what you can EVER experience on TV!

Enjoy your trip and a lovely stay!
